General Terms and Conditions

Effective from 13 October 2026

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) set out the general terms of contracts for services provided under the HYDROX brand. Use of the website is governed by the Terms of Service, and personal data processing by the Privacy Policy. This is a translation; the Hungarian version prevails.

Scope

These GTC apply to web design and development, app development, AI chat agents and automation, motion graphics and workshops provided by the provider. The provider serves both businesses and consumers. Rules that apply only to consumers (natural persons acting outside their trade, business or profession) are expressly marked as such. Where the individual quote or a written agreement of the parties differs, it prevails.

Conclusion of the contract

A contract is concluded through an individual written quote sent by email and its written acceptance by email. The contract language is Hungarian. The contract is a written contract, but the provider does not file it or make it publicly searchable; the provider keeps the emails containing the quote and the acceptance.

  • Before accepting, you can check the quote and the details you provided at any time. You can report input or other errors by reply; the provider then sends a corrected quote, and the contract is concluded only by accepting the corrected quote.
  • A quote is valid for the period stated in it, or otherwise for 30 days from sending.

Prices and payment

The fee is set out in the individual quote. As the provider is VAT-exempt, no VAT is charged: the gross price equals the net price (VAT-exempt, no VAT included). Prices published on the website are starting prices; the final amount is set in the quote.

  • Payment is made by bank transfer against an invoice, by the due date stated on the invoice.
  • If the service starts with an advance or instalments, the amount and due date are stated in the quote.
  • Recurring fees (such as hosting) and their billing frequency are set in the quote.

Delivery and timelines

Deadlines and milestones are set out in the quote. “Website in one day” means that the first review-ready version is delivered within one working day after the brief is finalised, all required materials are received and the alignment call has taken place; going live also depends on payment, the domain and required setup. If materials, information or approvals to be supplied by the client are delayed, the deadline is extended by the length of the delay.

Cooperation and materials

The client provides the materials needed for delivery (texts, images, logos, access) and feedback on time as agreed. The client warrants that it is entitled to use the content it supplies and that this content does not infringe third-party rights.

Intellectual property

Usage rights in the finished work pass to the client upon full payment of the fee, to the extent set in the quote. Third-party materials (such as fonts, photos, software components) are subject to their own licence terms. The provider may show the finished work in its portfolio as a reference unless the parties agree otherwise.

Consumer right of withdrawal and termination

This section applies only to consumers, under Hungarian Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.) on the detailed rules of contracts between consumers and businesses, where the contract is concluded off-premises or at a distance.

  • For service contracts, the consumer may withdraw from or terminate the contract without giving reasons within 14 days from the day the contract is concluded.
  • If the consumer expressly requests the provider to start performance before the withdrawal period expires and terminates after performance has started, the consumer must pay a fee proportionate to the services provided until the termination is communicated.
  • The consumer may not exercise the right of termination if the provider started the service with the consumer’s express prior consent, the consumer acknowledged that the right of termination is lost once the service is fully performed, and the provider has fully performed the service.
  • To exercise the right, send a clear statement to [email protected] or use the model withdrawal form below. It is sufficient to send the statement before the deadline expires.
  • The provider refunds the amount paid by the consumer (less any proportionate fee) within 14 days of becoming aware of the withdrawal or termination, using the same payment method as the original payment.

Model withdrawal/termination form

(complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from or terminate the contract) To: Márton Donát e.v., 2040 Budaörs, Ibolya utca 51-53. Building A, Hungary; email: [email protected] I hereby give notice that I withdraw from/terminate my contract for the provision of the following service: Date the contract was concluded: Name of consumer: Address of consumer: Signature of consumer (only if this form is notified on paper): Date:

Statutory warranty (kellékszavatosság)

In case of defective performance, the client may assert statutory warranty claims under section 6:159 and the following sections of the Hungarian Civil Code (Act V of 2013): primarily repair, or, if this is impossible or disproportionate, a price reduction or withdrawal. The defect must be reported without delay after discovery; for consumers, no later than two months after discovery. For consumer contracts, warranty claims lapse two years after performance. The provider gives a guarantee (jótállás) only if expressly agreed.

Liability

The provider’s liability is limited to the contract fee, except for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence and damage to life, physical integrity or health, where liability cannot be limited. Third-party services (such as hosting, domains, external platforms) are subject to their own terms. For consumers, no limitation deviating from mandatory law applies.

Complaints and remedies

You can make complaints at [email protected] or by phone at +36 20 542 3214. The provider answers written complaints on the merits, with reasons, within 30 days. If the complaint cannot be settled, the consumer may turn to the conciliation board competent for their place of residence or stay; the board competent for the provider’s seat is the Pest County Conciliation Board (Pest Vármegyei Békéltető Testület). Details of complaint handling and the board’s contacts are in the “Mandatory rights and complaints” section of the Terms of Service. The parties may also go to court.
